Crock Pot Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup: A Cozy New Favorite

Even though I am a little late to celebrating Slow Cooker Month, with the cold wintry weather on its way to Michigan there’s no better time to enjoy the comfort of a warm crock pot soup recipe. As a plus, I found this recipe just in time for National Homemade Soup Day on February 4th. My hubby and I love Progresso’s Creamy Chicken Noodle soup, but we haven’t been able to find it anywhere lately. I searched for a copycat recipe, and the one I found from Simple Joy did not disappoint!

What I Love About This Recipe

  • The ingredients and prep were fairly easy. I took it a step further and bought pre-chopped mire poix (carrots, celery, and onions) and also used pre-minced garlic.
  • Set it and forget it! I love making crock pot recipes on the weekends. This recipe could be done in a slow cooker on low for 6 hours or on high for 3 hours. I chose the low and slow option. The house smelled so good all day!
  • It was creamy, comforting, and better than the store bought version!

This homemade version of Progresso Creamy Chicken Noodle soup was an instant hit in our house. If you’re like us and finding it hard to find your favorite canned soup, I recommend trying this recipe. It tastes even better than the canned version, and I have a feeling it will be on the rotation of dinner recipes for me and my husband.

Have you ever recreated a favorite canned soup at home? Let me know in the comments! Happy Homemade Soup Day!
